Brief Cognitive Scale

The Scale was developed by Dr. Krishnan and colleagues at Duke University School of Medicine and screens for dementia and mild cognitive impairment.

This screening does not provide a diagnosis, but identifies problems that could be the result of processes that lead to conditions such as dementia and mild cognitive impairment that worry families of elderly.

The screening process does not work when it is completed for oneself. It is useful only when assessed by individuals who are familiar and live with the elderly person who is being assessed.
